Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
~ Cherubino Health Center ~
At Cherubino Health Center, our goal is to empower patients to make smart, effective, informed healthcare decisions. We do this by combining the best available research evidence with clinical expertise and attainable goals to create individualized treatment plans. Our method includes a variety of treatment options including chiropractic and alternative medicine modalities, all from a functional medicine perspective.
Anyone whose health has room for improvement can benefit from treatment offered at Cherubino Health Center. We offer individualized programs that are designed to improve your overall health and/or resolve specific health conditions. Methods include chiropractic, alternative medicine, functional medicine, and a variety of other holistic treatment methodologies.
The initial consultation with Dr. Grace, Dr. Ron, Dr. Sarah, Dr. Chris, or our Expressive Arts Psychotherapist, Anna Cherubino, determines this. You will have an opportunity to discuss your health history and get answers to your specific questions.
Our goal is to determine:
- If we can help you
- Which types of chiropractic or alternative medicine or therapies are applicable to your personal needs.
- Where to refer you if you would benefit from treatment offered outside of the center.
Each treatment plan is designed to address the specific needs of the patient. Therefore, chiropractic treatments for a spinal condition may be indicated, while alternative medicine procedures and treatments may be most appropriate in other cases.
Although the majority of patients we see would benefit some form of spinal care, we commonly treat patients with a variety of issues. Alternative medical treatment is so effective, in part, because it espouses the idea that positive lifestyle choices can be preventive and curative to disease. At our center, we treat the entire person while tackling specific diagnoses.
Our funtional medicine approach to chiropractic, holistic and alternative medicine is appropriate wherever there is room for improvement. The methods we have chosen to utilize and develop over the years are the result of treating thousands of patients with hundreds of different conditions. Conditions we commonly see are listed on our Conditions Page.
No.
Our treatments are divided into phases of care:
Treatment is designed to resolve specific problems or conditions as quickly and completely as possible. Once this is accomplished, treatment for that problem is no longer necessary. Some patients choose to continue with some level of preventive or wellness care long-term. This type of alternative treatment plan is designed based on individual goals.
Preventive care is desirable to some on a long-term ongoing basis and can be likened to regular dental cleanings.
Preventive care is designed to help the body maintain a high level of health. Several of our alternative medicine and holistic techniques are capable of identifying problems before they become firmly established as disease processes. These kinds of imbalances, which are often asymptomatic in their early stages, are most easily treated through this type of care. (more information on preventive health care)
Some people are in more obvious need of this type of care than others. People who work and live under high-stress conditions and those with chronic health conditions are prime candidates for this type of treatment. Ultimately, though, everyone can benefit from preventive treatment and it can be received at any frequency, dependent on individual goals and desires.
We will try our best to help you with a referral to the appropriate people, places and resources. We are here to serve you and our community. We frequently make referrals and receive them in return.
Many insurances do cover some chiropractic services. Coverage is most often limited and will vary from insurance company to insurance company and from policy to policy.
However, when it comes to functional, holistic or alternative medicine, most insurance companies will not offer coverage.
Our staff is happy to review your specific insurance policy and explain your chiropractic benefits, including those related to automobile accidents or work injuries (which are covered under state law).
Simply call the office with your insurance information on hand.
We do offer several payment plans with reduced rates available based on the type and length of care required. Our goal is to deliver the specific treatment that each patient needs, at a reasonable price.
A current treatment fee schedule is available online and at the center.
- Service for service, we are the same or lower than other practitioners and centers in our geographical area.
- We also offer treatments and approaches that may not be available outside of our center.
An initial consultation is your best first step. This will enable us to discuss your health concerns in detail as well as answer your questions.
Remember, we are here to help you however we can, and are happy to answer your questions in whatever capacity we can.
Questions can be answered via e-mail, by phone, or in person. (Contact Us)
