Welcome to The Spine Center
Innovative Nonsurgical Care for Musculoskeletal Conditions

Our modern Chiropractic physicians are concerned with:

  • Improving function
  • Reducing pain
  • Rehabilitating patients to prevent re-injury

Because of its many complex functions and its unique relation with the nervous system, our main area of focus is the spine.

As non-surgical spine specialists, we have the most comprehensive training on spinal mechanics, pathology and treatment, of any healthcare discipline.

Therefore, treatment at The Spine Center includes an accurate diagnosis, appropriate conservative treatment protocol and education about effective self-care measures. In this way,  most future problems are prevented and our patients live a life that is more functional and full.

Some of the Conditions We See at The Spine Center

At The Spine Center, one of our areas of expertise is the evaluation and treatment of people who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents.

Many people are evaluated at an emergency room following a car accident. Despite the fantastic level of emergency medicine they may receive, ER doctors are typically only concerned with life-threatening injuries.

Soft tissue injuries—with or without associated neck pain, back pain, or spinal disorders—will likely not be identified at all in an emergency room setting.

Since these injuries may not become symptomatic for days, weeks, months or even longer following the trauma, tissue-specific examination is paramount. The sooner a problem is identified, the more rapidly it can be appropriately treated and successfully resolved.

When indicated, we are also empowered to order any number of diagnostic studies to evaluate the severity and complexity of auto-accident related injuries.

In the state of Massachusetts, chiropractic services are covered (without any type of referral required) as part of a person’s motor vehicle insurance policy.

In virtually all cases, our center is able to bill an insurance company directly for services received as the result of auto injuries.

Of all the neuromusculoskeletal conditions we treat at The Spine Center, headaches—and especially migraines—are among the most damaging to our patients’ lives.

Fortunately, with our evidence-informed approach, headaches can become a thing of the past.

The diagnostic process begins with a complete health history to evaluate diet/lifestyle triggers, a neurological screening and review of available imaging/test results, and an
orthopedic examination, followed by specific treatment and therapy recommendations.

Our Headache Evaluation, with EMI and our CHC Headache Protocol, are appropriate for the evaluation and treatment of mild to the most severe types of headaches.

Our evidence-based diagnosis and treatment methods have enabled patients to completely eliminate or reduce the frequency and intensity of their headaches to the point where they can manage their lives, reducing the anxiety associated with recurrent headaches.

(Sciatica and Other Nerve Entrapments)

Sciatica is a condition wherein pain travels down the back of the leg, typically below the knee. It can be caused by a variety of sites of nerve impingement anywhere along the path of the sciatic nerve.

Before any treatment takes place, identifying the site(s) of impingement is paramount.

At The Spine Center, we identify these areas with a thorough evidence-informed, research-backed examination.
Treatment often includes joint and soft tissue manipulation, rehabilitation, and home coping strategies to prevent recurrence.

More/Less Information

Shoulder, knee, ankle, wrist, and elbow pain are among the most common reasons people give for avoiding activities they enjoy.

Whether a joint has been surgically repaired or not, it can be difficult to get back to normal activities even after the initial pain has gone.

At The Spine Center our primary goal is always to assess what tissue has caused the original problem and to rehabilitate it, while empowering our patients to pursue those activities that they have been avoiding with increased biomechanical safety and awareness.

Treatment can include joint mobilization, manipulation, and myofascial therapies to address all the affected tissues.

At The Spine Center, we can identify the cause of TMJD and provide individualized treatment. Care most commonly includes extensive soft tissue mobilization of the jaw and neck as well as multiple rehabilitative exercise methods.

As many TMJ disorders have a dental component, we are also happy to work in conjunction with your dentist to achieve the most favorable outcome to care.
