Licensed Massage Therapist

Kenzi’s goal is to facilitate self-healing, through the use of multiple massage modalities and therapeutic treatments.

“By using a holistic approach to Therapeutic and Medical Massage, I am able to consider the complex intricacies of both the physical body and the energetic systems.

I feel so much joy learning about the mind-body connection, staying curious, and constantly integrating education for myself to offer a range of modalities with the objective to better serve each specific client.

My main objective is to gently provide relief with a focus on relaxation of the central nervous system, allowing energy to flow through the body with ease and comfort.”

Therapeutic and Medical Massage

Therapeutic and Medical Massage is a form of manual therapy, the goal of which is to favorably influence multiple systems of the body. It is used for its therapeutic effects in systems such as muscular, joint, tendon, circulatory, and lymphatic, to name a few.

Myofascial Technique

Fascia is the network of connective tissue that is present throughout our bodies. It is often referred to as the glue that holds us together. Working specifically with this system allows gentle release of dysfunction held within the body.

Myofascial release technique is performed in a slow and gentle manner that deliberately targets fascia that may be restricted or causing tension.

Because fascia is directly connected to our organ systems, blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic channels, this work is considered a deep tissue technique as it addresses the deepest structures of our body. With that though, it is also considered one of the most gentle approaches to treating those deep networks.

CranioSacral Techniques

CranioSacral Therapy is a time-tested technique that evaluates and corrects problems related to the craniosacral system.

It is a gentle by hand technique that affects the very environment in which the brain and spinal cord function.

This manual therapy encourages the body’s natural healing mechanisms to improve the operation of the central nervous system, relieve the negative effects of stress, improve overall health and strengthen the body’s immune system.

Cupping

Therapeutic Massage, in general, is a compressive approach to treating the body; meaning applying pressure into the muscles of the body. When working with Cups, the main objective is to decompress the muscles, effectively targeting tension from a different perspective. This is considered a deep tissue technique as it works directly with the fascia.

Stationary Cupping

With this approach, hard plastic cups are placed on appropriate tension patterns, a vacuum pressure pump is used to draw in the tissues which creates the tight decompression of that muscle.

Dynamic Cupping

  • Ancient wisdom meets modern cupping!
  • With this approach, medical grade silicone cups are applied to areas of tension with a bit of oil, to allow for movement, and light suction. In a gliding motion, the silicone cups will be moved slowly by the practitioner over tension patterns with the goal of releasing the specific muscles being targeted.

Positional Release Technique

A technique developed in the 1950’s by Dr. Lawrence Jones, a doctor of osteopathy, found that by placing his patients’ painful tissues in a position of comfort, for about 90 seconds, their pain either completely melted away or was significantly reduced.

The main goal here is to relieve somatic dysfunction and its neurologically associated pain. This is achieved through comfortable manipulation and compression of the affected muscle tissues.

What to expect: With Positional Release Technique, slow deliberate movement is required, as well as communicating with clients to confirm where tender points are located. The therapist will be moving the body, without help from the client, in order to achieve and find their personal comfort range to hold for a duration of upwards of 90 seconds.
